We became interested in the Dutch Sheepdog after being introduced to the breed by a Dutch friend, Ineke Boa. Similar in energy level to the Portuguese Water Dog, we thought the breed would be compatible with the rest of our family. To date, blending of the breeds has been successful and we are blessed to have the opportunity to work with this wonderful animal. The Dutch Sheepdog is a highly intelligent, companion animal who is loyal, fun loving and friendly. They make very good family pets and are suitable for families who are oriented to the outdoors. The Dutch Sheepdog requires a fair amount of exercise and as such, are not suitable for individuals or families who are not active.

Faela (Fleur) Dutch Sheepdog Faela is a female Dutch Sheepdog born on July 3, 2006. Faela is a very bouncy, active bitch who loves to strut her stuff in the show ring. Faela won a Top Show Dog in Canada award for 2007. She placed 2nd overall in her breed. |
